In my role as a trainee in web development, I enjoy supporting my team members in their software development processes. Thanks to the flat hierarchies at ZTech, I have the opportunity to fully express my creativity and actively shape the success of the company.
I recently successfully completed the first six months of my apprenticeship. Even in this short time, I have been able to have a positive influence on the people in the software development team and I am surrounded by very smart and competent colleagues who also support me. I am glad to be part of a company that allows me to do what I love and gives me the space to develop!
In my role as IT Operations Lead, I act as a translator between the IT department and the other departments and enjoy the challenge of working on smart solutions to complex problems as part of our team.
When I joined the company 2 years ago, I initially worked as a developer in the web development team. A few months later I got the chance to join the IT Operations team as the Team Lead, taking on more responsibilities and getting to know some new areas of the company. I’m very thankful for this opportunity and for the chance to grow with my new position.
At ZTech, I’m able to lead product development to solve the needs of our customers. Furthermore, I enjoy working with various departments such as Marketing, Sales, Operations, a team of skilled developers and UX designers / researchers to produce lean yet innovative solutions. We use analytics to make data driven decisions whilst maintaining our focus on improving the overall customer experience.
I joined the company in the midst of the pandemic, so receiving personalised support from HR to expedite my work visa application made my life so much easier! The focus on diversity, autonomy and career growth at ZTech has really impressed me.
A few words from our CTO, Tom
My leadership mantra is that it's all about the team. How can I build the best team of talented technologists, provide them with the best environment and support, and set them up to succeed in solving challenging business problems with technology. I believe in bringing smart people together, with flat hierarchies and in cross-functional squads where we have respect for each other as equals, learn from each other, and proactively help each other rather than sit by and watch from the sidelines. If we can do all this and have some fun whilst doing it, then I know we are on the right path.
